CHAIRMAN

Mike Farmer

 

 

Born in 1949, Renshin Mike began martial arts training in Tae Kwon Do and achieved the rank of 4th Dan. He has spent over 35 years training & teaching in various styles, Kyokoshinkai under Greg Wallace, Ishinryu, Shotokan and Koodokan, and is a 5th Dan in Kyusho Jitsu, 6th Dan in Karate and 7th Dan Self Defence. Having gained a wide knowledge of martial arts skills, he formed Koryoku Karate Association over ten years ago and now has over five hundred students. Mike was given the World Kenpo Martial Arts Federation Instructor of the Year award and was inducted into the Eastern United States of America Black Belt Hall of Fame. He works  closely with leading martial arts exponents to maintain high standards and share ideas, respecting their experience and knowledge at all times. Mike trained with Kyusho Jitsu International under Evan Pantazi 7th level Instructor U.S.A. Kyusho Jitsu pressure point techniques are incorporated into Mike's self-defence methods.  He was appointed the Vice President Europe of The World Self - Defence Association in June 2009 and was awarded 8th Degree Black Belt in Self Defence. Mike works closely with George Dillman who is the foremost Kyusho Jitsu Instructor in the world today.

John Tuvey

 

Born in 1949, Sensei John began his martial arts training in Sankukai Karate and achieved the rank of 1st Dan. He studied martial arts in a variety of styles and then spent 10 years training in Jiu-jutsu under Terry Parker. Since its' conception he has been the highest ranking senior instructor with Koryoku holding the rank of 5th Dan Karate and ranks 1st Dan in Jui-jutsu. He has also trained with Kyusho Jitsu International under Evan Pantazi 7th level Instructor U.S.A. John holds the rank of 6th Dan in Ryukyu Kempo pressure point techniques. He instructs regularly at all the classes held in the evenings in karate and the self-defence techniques which he has incorporated into his unique style. John is a most respected exponent of pressure point use.

Keith Moughton

 

 

Born 1954, Renshin Keith  has trained in martial arts for over 25 years. He has studied Karate, Judo and Aikido but realised Jiu-jutsu was for him. He trained for 14 years with The British Jujitsu Association and he is now registered, instructs and trains with WKMAF, (The World Kenpo Martial Arts Federation) under Prof. Martin Rogers 7th Dan. Keith currently holds the rank of 6th Dan. He is an exponent of Jiu-jutsu and Aki-jutsu,  is an executive officer with WKMAF, National Instructor of the Year for WKMAF, National Instructor of the Year for EUSAIMAA ( Eastern United States of America International Martial Arts Association) and inductee into two international black belt halls of fame. Keith is the founder and Chairman of Shuren Jui-jutsu.

Sue Hollands

 

 

Born in 1949 Sue has trained in Martial Arts for over thirty years, she is an executive panel member of Koryoku and trains regularly with Shuren Jui-jutsu. Sue is the senior Ladies Instructor for the organisation and is currently a 3rd Dan in Karate and 4th Dan Self Defence. Her main class is at Francis Bardsley School Tuesdays 7.00 - 8.00 p.m. and she regularly assists at Manor and Wykeham.  Sue is always available to offer support & guidance.

Dalwara Dhell 

 

 

Born 1961, Sensei Dhell began training in 1976 under instructors such as John Sanghara, Dicky Wu, Joe Johal and Greg Wallace. He was a regular fighter in the Renshinkai team fighting at national venues for many years. Dhell also trained in Taekwondo, Kung Fu and Kick Boxing, achieving 1st Dan in 1981. He has now been teaching for over 25 years and has produced many successful fighters in Sport Karate, Semi-Contact, Boxing & Kickboxing including British Championship Medallists. In 1992 he formalised the Personal Combat System and now runs clubs in Gravesend - Kent, where he teaches Karate, Kickboxing & Self- Defence. He is currently a 6th Dan in Self Defence and 4th Dan Karate. Sensei Dhell also manages to maintain an Oriental Medicine Practice offering treatment for a wide range of complaints and for sports injuries, bad backs etc.
